New tools for intensity interferometry Erez Ribak (Technion, Israel) Over the last few decades, electronics and optics have changed significantly. We took advantage of some of the electronic advance, for example GHz off-the-shelf correlators which we test in our optical set up in the lab. We now look into the option of optically correlating the detected intensities, while skipping the stages of photomultipliers and subsequent electronic amplifiers.
